They view the patient as a physical, emotional, and spiritual whole, not as a collection of ailing body parts to be treated separately. Since Imhotep, (which was centuries before the birth of Hippocrates, the Greek physician) Ancient Egyptian Scientists, wrote about holistic treatments, diets and food. By taking the whole person into account, alternative healers’ today attempt to deal with the cause of a disease.
